What could be worse than discovering your own name is already taken?

Emma Stone finds out the hard way when she tries to buy EmmaStone.com, only to realize it’s unavailable. What follows is A Requiem of Unrepentant Anguish, a wildly dramatic descent as each failed attempt pulls her deeper into a loop of hope and despair.

Based on the true story of her domain being taken, the campaign reframes a simple product truth into a cinematic cautionary tale. Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, the film builds tension and absurdity in equal measure, culminating in a line she delivers herself: Get your domain before you lose it.

In addition to the hero film, we extended the world across a full campaign ecosystem designed to feel like a movie release. We developed a series of posters inspired by Yorgos’ film posters — graphic, restrained, and slightly unsettling in tone. After exploring over a thousand variations, we landed on a cohesive set that lived both as physical prints and animated assets across social and digital.

We continued the story on EmmaStone.com, a simple, cinematic one-page experience that houses the film while seamlessly integrating domain search. The campaign also carried through our .com and the Domains experience, creating a unified world across every touchpoint.

Rather than building a traditional celebrity campaign, we created a contained universe around a single idea turning a moment of loss into something memorable, entertaining, and actionable.
